Module 4 - Plugins Task

Out of all the plug ins out there on the WWW, I have definitely found Flash and Adobe reader to be the most vital. In recent years Flash has finally taken charge of the multimedia space with significant challenges over the years by plug ins such as Quicktime and Real Player. Flash has given rise to the dominant social/multimedia networks such as Myspace and You Tube. In business I find Adobe reader just as inseparable. Often large documents are stored in pdf format. including everything from manuals, annual reports, legal documents all often get served up in adobe reader format.

It would be really nice for some of these plug ins to be built into the browser but between corporate complications, licenses and copyright, where would one stop? Thinking about Microsoft who actually have incorporated their browser into the operating system , on the surface this seems like an ideal arrangement but as you probably know this is far from the case. Maybe its good plug ins are just that.... In other words you plug them in as you need them.
